Archway Charity Boost
Local charity Archway has received a welcome boost with a donation of £1000 from Dyce based company Premier Oilfield Rentals.
Archway offers respite, shared and permanent care to over 200 children and adults with learning disabilities in Aberdeen and the North East area. The donation will be used to help fund projects at its respite units in the Dyce and Garthdee areas of the city.
Premier, with a staff of 70, provides oilfield rental equipment to a range of international customers. Instead of sending Christmas cards, the company sent email messages instead and gifted the money to Archway. They also intend to do even more in the months ahead.
Russell Crofts, Premier’s Managing Director explained:
“We are pleased to be able to give something back to our local community by means of a donation to Archway. I was very impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere at the Dyce Respite Unit and I am glad that our contribution will support the excellent service provided.”
He continued:
“Our ‘Community Based Giving Programme’ is an initiative which will be developed throughout 2009 and will build upon our annual charitable donations to cement Premier’s commitment to supporting local organisations.”
The charity relies on donations and fundraising to fund many of its caring services. Details of forthcoming fundraising events for Archway and other ways to support the charity are on their website at www.archway.org.uk
